About Me & My Clemson University Experience

I was born and raised in Cheraw, SC, approximately four hours from Tiger Town. A small southern town, known as "The Prettiest Town in Dixie", growing up in Cheraw made me an outdoors enthusiast, and lover of nature and the idea of small-town living, which made attending Clemson an easy decision.

While in high school, I participated in National History Day competition, winning our district and state competitions, giving me the opportunity to travel to Maryland for the national competition. This experience furthered my love of history, which lead me to pursue a degree in history from Clemson.

Growing up, I was an avid member of the Boy Scouts of America, and received the elite honor of becoming an Eagle Scout in 2007. Through BSA, I learned the value of hard work and helping others, ideals that I brought with me to Clemson, which helped me excel during my time here.

As with most Clemson students, there's only one thing to do on Fall Saturdays, and that's Clemson Football. As a member of IPTAY, some of my fondest memories are from those afternoons spent watching our Tigers play....1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, C L E M S O N, FIGHT TIGERS FIGHT TIGERS FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!!

This past fall, I was lucky enough to be presented with my 2013 Clemson class ring by President Barker. It will without a doubt be one of the proudest and most memorable events in my life. I will wear that ring for the rest of my life with pride, knowing that I will be forever connected with the best university in the world, and the proud few who are lucky enough to call themselves Clemson University alumni.
